COURSE PHILOSOPHY

The fun and innovative sessions are customised to provide adventure and growth for all participants. The experience incorporates the "Challenge by Choice" philosophy where participants are encouraged to attempt each activity but never forced. All activities are sequenced in a manner that promotes the development of self-confidence, group trust and equipment dependability. As individuals progress through the activities they can interact on past experiences with the group, incorporate the insights gained from the previous situations and translate those insights to the future.

INITIATIVES/TEAM GAMES

Initiative/Team games are situations presented to the group that must be solved using the physical and intellectual resources on hand. The interpersonal skills required for team success, such as co-operation, decision making, communication, and commitment, are related back to real situations occurring in every day life.

EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATION

Experiential Education is a process through which a learner constructs knowledge, skill and value from direct experience. MORE’s Low Ropes Challenge Course encourages all participants to step outside their comfort zone and take safe controlled risks. These risks give individuals and teams increased confidence and a sense of achievement which they can implement into their personal and/or professional lives.

LOW ROPES CHALLENGE COURSE PROGRAM

The Low Ropes Challenge Course is an amazing opportunity for individual and group development. This arena develops teamwork, trust, communication and leadership. For group development this is a dynamic way to accomplish tasks together. The Challenge Course experience offers the following benefits:

ABSEILING

Recreational abseiling is conducted within the Nymboida and Glenreagh areas and is offered for the beginner up to advanced level. All aspects of safety are strictly adhered to and in accordance with the current industry practices. Equipment is regularly inspected and serviced to maintain a high level of industry compliance.

CANYONING

Canyoning is conducted at several locations. Each and every one is pristine in the environmental aspects. Abseiling is into a canyon, beside a waterfall, into flowing waters, then negotiating natures’ obstacles with our qualified guides which ensures you have a memorable and rewarding experience.

ROCK CLIMBING

Top rope and lead climbing is available for the more adventurous in the Glenreagh area. All levels of experience and abilities are considered and your qualified instructors will ensure your experience is memorable

REMOTE AREA SURVIVAL

This introductory course will better prepare individuals to cope in the remote area and/or wilderness environment. Some elements of the course include: how to construct temporary shelters, food/water gathering, and survival techniques.

NAVIGATION

Basic elements of navigation (ie. map reading, how to read a compass, map to ground appreciation, and other navigation methods) are taught both in theoretical and practical environments. A navigation course has been designed to suit all levels of experience and fitness.
